
Dr. Mokhtar Ghoul

Dr. Mokhtar Ghoul has been working at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) as a Clinical Research Specialist/Clinical Trials Manager since 2017. He established and has been managing the Cancer Clinical Trials Unit at the National Centre for Cancer Care & Research.
He has been working in the field of clinical research, including clinical trial operations in Medical Oncology, Haematology, and Radiation Oncology in North America and the Middle East region for the last 20 years.
Among Dr. Ghoul's credentials are a PhD in Management (UK, 2021), a Master of Science (USA, 2001), and two bachelor's degrees (USA, 1997, and Algeria, 1991). He has combined his international experience with over 6 years of teaching and administration in both university and hospital settings.
Using his clinical trials coordination experience from McGill University Health Centre in Montreal, Canada, he had the honor of playing a significant part in the launch of a clinical trials program at King Fahad Specialist Hospital in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, in 2010. He also made a substantial contribution to the establishment of the first Institutional Review Board (IRB) at King Fahad Specialist Hospital in Dammam during that time.
Dr. Ghoul also had the opportunity to play a significant role in the AAHRPP accreditation, which was granted to my King Fahad Specialist Hospital in Dammam in March 2014, and the re-accreditation in March 2017.
