Ms. Wafaa Shehada
Clinical Nurse Specialist, NCCC
Wafaa Shehada is a clinical nurse specialist working with the breast cancer team at the National Centre for Cancer Care and Research (NCCCR) since 2018. Previously, she worked as a staff nurse at the Radiotherapy department at NCCCR for more than 7 years. She graduated with honors from the University of Calgary in 2015. She obtained a master’s degree in Nursing from the University of Calgary in 2018. Her main Experience is in medical oncology. She is an active core member of the Breast Cancer Multidisciplinary Team (MDT). Ms. Wafaa CNS led the CNS leadership forum for breast oncology and survivorship team at NCCCR. Ms. Wafaa is an active member on numerous projects, including chemotherapy classes for newly diagnosed cancer patients, for which she had the honor of winning the Hamad Medical Corporation Patient Experience Forum 2019. Ms. Shehada participates in many local and international conferences and symposiums as a speaker.
Ms. Wafaa actively participates in many research studies and quality projects with her team and has published her research paper in the Journal of Nursing Education and Practice.
