Dr. Nuri Abdurraheim

Dr. Nuri graduated on 2002 as a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery at Garyounis University in Libya. He started his career as a resident in Misurata University Hospital at Libya then in 2008 undertook a research fellowship program in Critical Care at the University of Pennsylvania.  

During this time, he was with the University, he was able to publish with his colleagues three research papers. Having excelled and achieved high scores in the USMLE Exam, Nuri was chosen by Kaplan on 2010 to be a USMLE advisor to teach and tutor students for the USMLE exams. 

He then applied as a resident in Bronx Lebanon Hospital in the United States. In 2012, he applied as a Trauma fellow under Trauma and Critical Care Department of Hamad Medical Corporation. Despite the busy schedules of a fellow, Nuri undertook a fellowship in Minimally Invasive Surgery. 

He then strived to advance his career from fellow to specialist to associate consultant. In 2017, he participated as a lecturer on two outreach programs under the Trauma Department.  

To learn more and expound on the knowledge and skills about the care and management of critical care patients, he applied as a Fellow at the University of Toronto in 2019. He then challenged the EDIC Exam [European Diploma in Intensive Care Medicine] wherein he successfully gained certification. 

After returning from Canada to Hamad Medical Corporation, he applied for the consultant position which was granted. This 2023, he also acquired the position of an Assistant Professor in Qatar University.
