Dr. Rahil Kassamali
Consultant, Interventional Radiology
Dr Rahil Kassamali is a Consultant Interventional Radiologist focusing on interventional oncology and vascular disease. His role extends further as the research lead for interventional radiology at Hamad Medical Corporation. He contributes to both the hepatobiliary and lung tumor boards.
He studied medicine at the University of Birmingham, UK. His formative years saw him complete his internship and radiology training in the West Midlands, UK. He further honed his skills through a competitive interventional radiology fellowship at Alfred Health, Melbourne, Australia. During his training, he earned recognition from the Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR, UK) and the European Board of Interventional Radiology (EBIR). Dr Rahil worked as a Consultant Interventional Radiologist in Birmingham, UK prior to relocating to Doha.
Dr Rahil has a strong academic background with numerous peer review publications in the field of interventional radiology. He actively participates as a reviewer for academic journals and congresses. He is regularly invited to speak at academic congresses. In addition to his clinical and research work, Dr Rahil has a passion for education and is a Senior Lecturer at Aston Medical School, UK where he is committed to shaping the next generation of medical professionals.
