Ammar Aleter, M.D. is a Colorectal Surgeon at Hamad General Hospital - Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) in Qatar. He completed his undergraduate education at Albaath University in Syria, where he earned his medical degree in 2013. Following this, he completed his internship at Hamad Medical Corporation and subsequently joined HMC's ACGME-I accredited general surgery residency program.

He successfully completed his residency training in 2020 and attained certification from the Arab Board of Health Specializations (ABHS) in General Surgery in 2021.

After residency, Dr. Aleter worked in the hepatobiliary and transplant surgery unit until November 2021. He then pursued a fellowship in colorectal surgery at HMC. In March 2024, he achieved certification as a Fellow of the European Board of Surgery (FEBS) in Coloproctology.

Currently, Dr. Aleter serves in the colorectal surgery unit at HMC, with clinical interests focused on laparoscopic and robotic colorectal surgery, as well as proctology.
