Dr. Ayman Mahmoud Elnaqa,
​​MBBCh, MSc, MD, FRCOG.

Dr. Ayman Mahmoud Elnaqa is a Senior Consultant Urogynecologist & Obstetrician and Head of the Female Pelvic Medicine Unit, Women’s Wellness and Research Centre, Hamad Medical Corporation. Dr. Ayman finished his post graduate training in the West Midlands Deanery in the UK before taking up his consultant post in 2004. He has published numerous peer-reviewed papers including the RCOG green top guideline on post hysterectomy vault prolapse and continues to enjoy an interest in teaching, medical education and research.

Before arriving in Doha in 2015 Dr. Ayman worked as a Consultant Lead Urogynecologist & Obstetrician. Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust, New Cross Hospital, in the UK. Dr. Ayman has wide experience in medical education and teaching and has held the following positions:

  • Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer, Division of Medical Sciences, University of Birmingham.
  • Chairman of the Egyptian Liaison Group of the RCOG.
  • Chairman of the North Midland Urogynecology Group.
  • Chairman of the Development, Audit, Research & Education (DARE) Committee, Royal Wolverhampton Hospital, NHS Trust.
  • Chairman of the Guidelines Committee, British Society of Urogynecology, RCOG.
  • Regional (West Midlands) Preceptor and Educational Supervisor for the RCOG Urogynecology ATSM.
  • Regular teaching at the SpR training programme of the West Midlands School of O&G.
  • Faculty member or the RCOG Basic Surgical Skills course at Royal Wolverhampton Hospitals, Stafford General Hospital, North Staffordshire University Hospitals and Birmingham University Hospitals.
  • Faculty member of the MRCOG training course in Egypt (Egyptian Representative Committee of the RCOG)
  • Medical student examiner at Birmingham University.
  • Regular involvement in the ongoing programmes in post graduate medical education.
  • Teaching at Evidence Based Medicine and critical appraisal training course. Birmingham Women’s hospital.​
