Mr. Haitham Khalil (consultant oncoplastic and reconstructive surgeon)
Mr. Khalil is a consultant oncoplastic and reconstructive surgeon at University Hospitals Birmingham (Good Hope, Solihull & Queen Elizabeth), Birmingham UK since 2008 and specializes in Breast, Thoracic, Trunk/ Abdomen and Perineum reconstruction. He studied medicine at Cairo University Medical School and started his career at Cairo University hospitals. Moving to the UK he worked at the internationally recognized unit for breast, plastic and reconstruction at Kings College and St Thomas 'Hospital, London. Alongside his clinical commitments, he also serves as an honorary senior clinical Lecturer at the College of Medical and Dental Sciences, University of Birmingham and as a clinical lead for the international surgical training programmed at the Royal College of Surgeons of England. In addition, he acts an expert advisor for NICE for wound management and a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. He is a regular speaker at national and international meetings and an author for 60 publications in high profile Journals.
