Prof. Khaled Madbouly is a colorectal surgeon with extensive training and experience spanning three continents. He earned his MBBCh degree with honors from Alexandria University, Egypt in 1994, where he also completed his general surgery residency as well as his Master's and PhD degrees.

Further specializing in colorectal surgery, Prof. Madbouly completed advanced residency training at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation (2001–2002) in the United States and at the University of Luebeck in Germany (2005). His clinical practice includes roles as a consultant colorectal surgeon in Egypt and the United Arab Emirates, including prestigious institutions such as Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi and Burjeel Royal Hospital.

Currently, Prof. Madbouly serves as President of the Egyptian Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons (ESCRS) and President of the Egyptian Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery. He is also the Regional Vice President of the International Society of University Colon and Rectal Surgeons (ISUCRS), and a member of the New Technology and International Committees of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons (ASCRS).
