IHI Open School and White Paper Seminars


Purpose & Objectives:

Purpose:

The purpose is to build the capacity and capability of health and social care professionals in the field of quality improvement science methodology across HMC and Qatar.

Objectives:

  1. Introducing learners to the fundamental concepts and importance of quality improvement and patient safety worldwide as per Open School Curriculum.
  2. Introducing learners to the IHI’s Innovation Series white papers to further the HMC mission of improving the quality and value of health and health care.
  3. Creating a shared understanding of improvement and a common IHI methodology language within an organization.
  4. Develop the skills, knowledge, and confidence to participate as members of improvement teams.

Format:

Activity Type: Hands-on interactive Group Learning Seminar

Audience: All staff from across HMC facilities /departments (Max. 100 People/offer)

Date & time: Once a week / two sessions/day, one hour for each session

Venue: TBC

Registration: Registration will be done either manually or online. Announcement of the Event will be through HHQI website.

DHP CPD accreditation: Category 1

Outline:

The Open School group learning seminar Curriculum is based on an integrated curriculum for IHI Open School Courses and IHI’s Innovation Series white papers.

The integrated curriculum will cover a range of topics in quality improvement, patient safety, system design, IHI Psychology of Change Framework, leadership, and population management.
