Improvement Leadership Program-ILP
Purpose & Objectives:
Program Goals: To deepen program participants’ knowledge and skills encompassing in four areas: improvement science and innovation; learning systems; safety and reliability concepts; and leadership skills.
To support program participants in becoming change agents who can drive improvement and innovation, support improvement teams and strategies, and drive collaboration and spread of initiatives in support of Hamad Healthcare Quality Institute (HHQI) and the quality improvement goals of Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC).
The HHQI Improvement Leadership Program (ILP) is intended and designed to be the
best professional learning experience of the participant’s career.
Program Learning Objectives: By the end of the program, participants will be able to demonstrate:
- Knowledge of core program topics and techniques.
- Ability to lead teams, creating the culture to foster improvement
- Ability to support testing and implementing change strategies with measurement to determine improvement.
- Active engagement and networking with other Improvement Leaders, improvement advisors and others in HMC and the local region.
Format:
The Improvement Leadership program is spread over a period of nine months. The program format is as shown in the following infographics.
Outline:
Improvement leadership program was co-designed by Hamad Healthcare Quality Institute (HHQI) & Institute of Healthcare Improvement (IHI) in 2018. The program is offered to HMC employees in the position of mid managerial role once in a year with up to 30 participants in each cohort. The program outline as follows:
