Dr. Francis Lam
Is a senior consultant clinical scientist at Hamad Medical Corporation, Doha and is head of the special chemistry laboratory. He obtained his undergraduate degree at University College London and continued there to receive his PhD in cellular biology.
Having subsequently trained in clinical biochemistry at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford he furthered his interests in specialist chemistry services at University College Hospital, London and Imperial College Healthcare, London where he helped develop and oversee the mass spectrometry laboratories.
Upon returning to University College Hospital, under Health Services Laboratories, he became director of the specialist steroid service and further developed his interests in this field. He was appointed the head of the special chemistry laboratory at HMC in 2021.
