
Dr. Wedad Saleem, Clinical Scientist, Cellular Therapy, Hamad Medical Corporation, Qatar
Dr. Wedad Saleem earned her Ph.D. in Hematology in 2009 from the Faculty of Medicine, School of Health Science at Gunma University, Japan.
Following her Ph.D., she continued at Gunma University as a postdoctoral fellow, advancing her research in hematological malignancies and immune regulation. In 2013, she joined Qatar University, College of Health Sciences as a postdoctoral fellow.
She worked as a Research Assistant Professor at the Biomedical Research Center, where she contributed to a variety of biomedical research projects and participated in academic teaching of hematology courses within the Biomedical Sciences program. She also supervises academic research undertaken by bachelor’s and master’s degree students.
Since 2017, she has been serving as a Clinical Scientist at Hamad Medical Corporation’s National Center of Cancer Care and Research (NCCCR) institute. She works in the Cellular Therapy Laboratory supporting the bone marrow transplant program. In addition to her professional roles, she has published a number of articles in peer-reviewed journals.
