Prof. Ovais Wadoo

Prof. Ovais Wadoo is Chair of the Middle East Division of the Royal College of Psychiatrists. He is a Professor of Psychiatry and Senior Consultant Psychiatrist in Qatar, affiliated with Hamad Medical Corporation and the College of Medicine, Qatar University.
He serves as Clinical Director of Neuromodulation Services, leading the delivery of advanced interventional treatments for mental disorders. As Director of Psychiatry Fellowship Programs, he established eight subspecialty fellowships in Qatar, the highest number in the Middle East. He also serves as Clerkship Director and has contributed to establishing the psychiatry clerkship at the College of Medicine.
Prof. Wadoo has contributed to the development of national clinical guidelines for mental disorders in Qatar. He is a recipient of the Stars of Excellence Awards for Education and Clinical Service, and the Qatar University Research Excellence Award. He holds fellowships from both the Royal College of Physicians (Edinburgh) and the Royal College of Psychiatrists, in recognition of his contributions to medicine, psychiatry, and medical education.
