Dr. Shehab Mohamed is a consultant in hematology at the National Center for Cancer Care & Research (NCCCR). He graduated medical school with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Gezira in Sudan. He subsequently completed his internal medicine residency and hematology fellowship training at Hamad Medical Corporation in Qatar. 
He received further training at the Mayo Clinic and University of Tennessee – Memphis (UTHSC) in the USA and completed a leukemia fellowship at MD Anderson in 2021. 
He is Arab Board certified in Internal Medicine and received certification from the Royal College of  Physicians, London MRCP, in 2015 and the European Hematology Association (EHA) in 2018. 
Dr. Shehab is active in research and has several publications, including in the Blood Journal and at international conferences like EHA and ASH. He is a reviewer for the American Journal of Care Reports.
