Dr. Hamda Qotba
Assistant Director, Emergency Preparedness and Response Department, Supreme Council of Health, Qatar
Dr. Hamda Qotba has worked with the Supreme Council of Health, Qatar since 2002, holding several managerial and advisory posts. She began her career as the Head of the Community Nutrition Unit, moving to the non-communicable disease section and later becoming an Advisor to the Assistant Secretary General.
Dr. Qotba is the first Qatari female to study public health. She has been awarded both Membership and Fellowship from the Faculty of Public Health, UK. Dr. Qotba’s role has focused on assisting in developing departments that struggle in terms of customer service and employee development, as well as working with departments that lack policies and guidelines; she has also been involved with the revision of associated existing laws. Currently, Dr. Qotba holds the position of Assistant Director for the Emergency Preparedness and Response Department at the Supreme Council of Health, Qatar.
