Dr. Hisham Ziglam, Dip ID, MSc, MRCP(UK), FRCP (Edin), MD, is a Senior Consultant in Infectious Diseases at Hamad General Hospital and a Professor of Medicine in the Division of Internal Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Tripoli. He is also the Antimicrobial Stewardship Lead at Hamad Medical Corporation.
Dr. Ziglam received his M.B., Ch.B. (MD), from Tripoli Medical University at Tripoli, Libya. He completed his training in internal medicine in Nottingham and Dundee and became a Consultant in Manchester, UK.
Dr. Ziglam has extensive experience in medical education and teaching postgraduate residents and fellows as well as undergraduate medical students. He was an Examiner for the MRCP PACES exam in the UK and an official Arab Board and Libyan Board Examiner for the internal medicine specialty.
Dr. Ziglam has published more than 50 articles in peer reviewed medical journal and is an editorial board member and reviewer for a number of international medical journals. In addition to being a member of many regional and international professional associations and societies, he has been an invited speaker at a number of regional and international conferences.
