Dr. Thaera Abdulwahid M. Muslat is a Mental Health and Trauma Supervisor, Public Health with the Supreme Council of Health, Qatar; a post she has held since August 2012. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in General Medicine and Surgery and a Diploma and Board Certificates in the specialty of Community Medicine. She also holds a Master’s degree in Health Care Management from the University of Atlanta.
Dr. Muslat has served as a Specialist in the field of community medicine in Iraq, as the Director of Preventive Health and the Environmental Protection Department, as a Member of the Public Health Consultation Committee, Ministry of Health and as a Coordinator of health programs with UNICEF, WHO and UNDP.
She has also served as Assistant Professor in Al-Nahrain Medical College, Iraq and Thamar Medical College and as a Consultant with the Royal Tropical Institute Netherland in Yemen. She has also held posts within the Health Promotion Department at the Health Authority of Abu Dhabi.
Currently, Dr. Muslat is a Supervisor of Mental Health and Trauma at the Supreme Council of Health, Qatar and a Member of the Public Health Steering Committee and National Preventive Health Care Committee.
