
Dr. Hisham Abdul Aleem Abdul Sattar Ahmed
MD, ABIM, FCCP
Dr. Hisham is the Chief of the Pulmonary Division at HGH and a Weill Cornell Medicine Professor at Qatar.
He received his medical degree from Ain Shams University in Cairo.
He completed his postgraduate training in Egypt, Doha, and the United Kingdom. Dr Hisham is a member of many international chest societies.
His research interests include asthma, ILD, interventional pulmonary medicine, and pleural disease.
Dr. Hisham introduced many new services to HMC, including sleep medicine in 2002 and interventional procedures such as Argon Plasma Coagulation, Medical Thoracoscopy, Endobronchial Ultrasound, and Bronchial Thermoplasty. He also successfully combined pulmonary medicine and thoracic surgery services at HMC.
