Dr. Walid Mubarek

Dr. Walid Mubarak is one of approximately one hundred dedicated fellowship-trained pediatric interventional radiologists worldwide and one of three hundred pediatric interventional society members internationally.


Currently​ a pediatric and adult interventional radiologist at Sidra Medicine, he is the lead for adult interventional radiology services, serving Qatar's pediatric and women's patients. He has been fellowship-trained in both adult and pediatric interventional radiology.


He completed his pediatric interventional radiology training at the Hospital for Sick Children (Sick Kids), University of Toronto, Canada, and organized several international training programs for interventional skills.

He currently Chairs the vascular access committee and heads the CPD/CME continuous working group.

With a diploma in healthcare management, he focuses on quality improvement, risk mitigation, patient flow optimization, and cost-effectiveness in the angiography suite. 

Dr. Walid's interests span vascular, anomalies, airway and oncology interventions, medical education, and professional development. 

He co-founded specialty-driven education workshops and serves as a Qatari Board Examiner. He has authored articles and a book chapter and is a reviewer for two prestigious interventional radiology journals.​
