Dr. Ahmed Essam Shalaby Elghawaby
Dr. Elghawaby is a Specialist in General Pediatrics at Hamad General Hospital (MCRC), Hamad Medical Corporation, Doha, Qatar. He earned his MBBCh from Ain Shams University in 2010 and completed a comprehensive internship in core medical and surgical specialties in 2011. From 2012 to 2014, he served as an Emergency Physician in the Genetics Unit at Children's Hospital, Ain Shams University, gaining focused experience in inborn errors of metabolism. He then pursued pediatric residency training at Hamad Medical Corporation and Sidra Medicine, achieving the Arab Board of Pediatrics in 2019.
Dr. Elghawaby went on to complete an academic fellowship in General Pediatrics (2018–2021), during which he was appointed Chief Fellow and actively contributed to teaching, research, and quality improvement initiatives. Since 2022, he has served as a Specialist, where he continues to balance clinical care with education and scholarly activities, maintaining a strong commitment to pediatric research and medical education.
