Dr. Ananth Nazarene
 
Dr. Ananth Nazarene is a charge nurse and acting nurse researcher with the mental health services at Hamad Medical Corporation, Qatar. He holds a BSN and MSN in psychiatric nursing and a PhD in applied psychology. With over two decades of nursing experience, his expertise spans psychiatric care, nurse-led research, and patient safety innovations.

Dr. Nazarene has presented widely at regional and international forums, including the Patient-Centered Care Forum, the Qatar Summit for Healthcare Risk Management, and the Middle East Forum. His research focuses on aggression management, restrictive practice reduction, health improvement in severe mental illness, and workforce development.

He has authored more than a dozen peer-reviewed publications on topics ranging from COVID-19 impacts on nurses to patient safety and psychiatric care delivery. His current projects explore orthorexia among nurses, smoking-ban policies, physical health in severe mental illness, and predictive modeling for nursing workforce demand.
