Dr. Alhady Alfian Yusof
Consultant Emergency Medicine and Medical Intensive Care Unit, Hamad General Hospital, Hamad Medical Corporation

Dr. Alhady Alfian Yusof, MB, ChB, MCEM, EDIC, FCEM, FFICM, was born and educated in Malaysia.  His undergraduate degree was completed at Liverpool University, UK.  After a one-year internship, he went through three and half years of basic post-graduate training in emergency medicine, surgery, medicine, intensive care and anaesthesia. This was followed by a six-year fellowship program in the UK and the completion of The Dual Certificate of Training in Emergency and Intensive Care Medicine in 2011.

Dr. Yusof joined Hamad Medical Corporation with a dual post as Consultant in Emergency Medicine and Consultant Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) at Hamad General Hospital in 2013. 

His area of interest is critical care service delivery in the Emergency Department.  He also has a special interest in medical ethics, in particular the care of the dying patient and Do Not Attempt Resuscitation (DNAR). In his current role he is involved in a number of projects, including, improving and updating critical care equipment in the emergency department resuscitation room, the airway project, developing in-house airway training for emergency physicians and developing audit and training tools.
