Dr. Luay Badran
Occupational Health Physician, Medical Services Department, Qatar Petroleum
Dr. Luay Badran has over 25 years of experience and has worked as a specialist surgeon in reputed hospitals in India, Syria and Egypt, and in various clinical and administrative leadership roles.
Dr. Badran completed his MBBS from S.N. Medical College, followed by post-graduate training in general surgery from Rajasthan University, India. He has also obtained a DoccMed – post-graduate diploma in occupational health from the Royal College of Physician, UK, as well as Membership in the Faculty of Occupational Medicine from the Royal College of Physician, Ireland. He is a Fellow of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine of the Royal College of Physicians, Ireland. He also holds a BSC International Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health.
Dr. Badran is an experienced occupational health specialist with a wide range of expertise in occupational and corporate health management in the oil and gas industry. He is interested in proactive occupational medical services that improve the health and well-being of employees. He has conducted various research studies and made significant contributions towards occupational medicine post-graduate education and training in Qatar.
Dr. Badran is currently serving as Medical Officer at Qatar Petroleum and his current work involves leading and overseeing the delivery of occupational medicine services in onshore and offshore locations with Qatar Petroleum.
