Dr. Ayman El-Menyar

Dr. Ayman El-Menyar is the Director of Trauma and Vascular Research and Development in Trauma Surgery Section, Hamad General Hospital and an Associate Professor in Clinical Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar. He worked in the field of clinical cardiology from 1993 to 2011. Dr. El-Menyar received his MBchB from the Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University (1989). He completed his internship at Cairo University and his residency program at the National Heart Institute, Cairo. He completed his master’s degree in Cardiology in 1995 and obtained Membership to the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) in 2002 and obtained diploma of Fellowship from the Royal College of physicians (FRCP) Glasgow, UK in 2007.
Dr. El-Menyar has been involved in more than 350 research projects and has authored and co-authored 320 peer-reviewed articles and 150 international abstracts and five book chapters. He is a mentor for medical students and residents and has been awarded three research grants from Qatar Foundation, along with three internal grants from HMC.
He is a member of many international societies, including the European Heart Rhythm Association, European Society of Cardiology/Acute Cardiac Care, Heart Gulf Association Society, and Egyptian Society of Cardiology. He is a Fellow of American College of Cardiology (FACC) and European Society of Cardiology (FESC).
