Dr. Khalid Abdul Noor A.M. Saifeldeen
Dr. Khalid Abdul Noor A.M. Saifeldeen is the Director of Hamad International Training Centre (HITC) and a Senior Consultant Emergency Medicine at Hamad Medical corporation (HMC). Dr. Saifeldeen obtained his medical degree from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and subsequently completed the Fellowship of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine in UK. He has also completed MSC in Healthcare Management from RCSI.
Dr. Saifeldeen is the national lead for health workforce training and education strategy. Under his leadership, HITC has transformed into the region's busiest provider of inter-professional education programs with strong emphasis on educational quality and governance.
As part of Qatar's national health response to covid-19 pandemic, Dr. Saifeldeen was appointed the health sector lead for the lockdown of the old industrial area. The three months lockdown provided challenges together with learning lessons and opportunities including the establishment of a field hospital for the population living in and around the area.
Subsequently, Dr. Saifeldeen was appointed the National lead for the development and implantation of Qatar Vaccination Center (QVC) for business and industry sector. QVC is probably the world's largest covid vaccination center with capacity to deliver up to 40,000 doses daily (over 12 hours daily operation). QVC played a key role in supporting Qatar's Covid vaccination program in the administration of first and second doses and at present, it is also actively providing booster doses. To date, approximately 2.5 million doses has been delivered by QVC.
