
Dr. Gautam L. Sharma
Dr. Gautam Sharma is a highly regarded healthcare strategist and system improvement leader with over 17 years of experience in enhancing quality, patient safety, and organizational performance. At the Hamad Healthcare Quality Institute, part of Hamad Medical Corporation, he serves as the program manager for both the High-Performing Organizations (HPO) Program and the National Value Improvement Collaborative (NVIC) Spread and Scale-up. In this role, he is instrumental in fostering culture change, developing leadership, and promoting value-based care across various healthcare entities.
Dr. Sharma's extensive international credentials include completing courses such as Improving Global Health: Focusing on Quality & Safety at Harvard and Public Health Operations Management in Japan through JICA. He also holds advanced Improvement Science certifications as an Improvement Advisor, Improvement Leader, and Improvement Coach from the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI). As a senior faculty member, mentor, and coach, he has successfully guided hundreds of teams toward achieving measurable improvements in patient outcomes, efficiency, and safety.
