Senior Consultant Internal Medicine.
I am working as Senior Consultant in internal medicine in the prestigious institution Hamad Medical Corporation since August 2014.I graduated from Khyber Medical College Peshawar University in Pakistan and then moved to UK to do further training in internal medicine. I did MRCP, FRCP from Royal college of Physicians London. Apart from membership, I did vocational training with Black Country Vocational training scheme and I did membership of Royal College of General practitioners London. I have dual accreditation on GMC specialist register for Internal Medicine and as General practitioner. I have got a diploma in Geriatric Medicine from Royal college of Physicians London as well.
Before moving to Qatar, I worked as a consultant Physician in NHS England hospitals, Dudley Group of Hospitals and Warwick General Hospital, for 11 years and have vast experience in managing both acute and chronic medical conditions. I had a major role in establishing Acute Medical Unit and Ambulatory Emergency Care unit in Warwick General Hospital UK.
I have been teaching medical students of different medical schools and I was I was Honorary senior lecturer in clinical medicine at Birmingham University UK and Warwick Medical School UK. I am Assistant professor in clinical medicine with Weill Cornell Medical College Doha Qatar. I am qualified clinical and Educational supervisor for general practitioners in UK.
Since joining HMC, I am involved in quality development projects and have been part of establishing different pathways, audits and have presented grand rounds and in international conferences. I believe in team work and would like to continue working with my teams to improve services in HMC for better patient care.
