Dr. Aftab Mohammad Azad
MD, ArBEM, FRCPC (UK) FRCPC
Graduated from McGill Emergency Medicine Residency program - Montreal, Canada in 2015 and joined Massachusetts General Hospital at Harvard Medical School for Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship.
He is involved in teaching Point of Care Ultrasound Courses at international level since 2013.
He was designated as the Site Director for HMC and First Regional Director of Canadian Point of Care Ultrasound Society for the Middle East in March 2014.
He received the award of honor of being the first Qatari to graduate from North American Emergency Medicine Training Programs.
Currently he is working as an attending physician (Consultant) in Emergency Medicine at Hamad Medical Corporation, Chief of Service of the Emergency Department at Al Khor Hospital, Assistant chief of service of the Emergency Department, Director of Emergency Medicine Point of Care Ultrasound, Associate Program Director of Emergency Medicine Residency Assistant professor at Weil Cornell Medical College Qatar and the College of Medicine Qatar University, and Member of curriculum development faculty at Weil Cornell Medical College Qatar. He has been also appointed as Member Board of Directors – Gulf Federation of Emergency Medicine.
