Dr. Shireen Suliman, MBBS, MRCP (Acute Medicine), 
MEHP 

Dr. Suliman is a consultant at the Internal Medicine Department at Hamad Medical Corporation. She is an academic physician with focus in Medical education and Quality Improvement.

She has completed her residency and fellowship training in internal medicine at Hamad Medical Corporation in Qatar. Dr. Shireen is an Arab Board certified in Internal medicine and earned her fellowship afterwards at the Internal Medicine at HMC-Qatar in 2015. She had completed the MRCP in Acute Medicine in 2013. 

She demonstrated interest in medical education after completing the essential skills in medical education ESME course in UK delivered by the AMEE (Association for Medical Education in Europe) in 2013 then her Master’s degree in Education for Health Professional (MEHP) from Johns Hopkins University in 2016. Her main interests are developing a mentoring culture at HMC and academic bodies for undergraduate and post graduate candidates, coaching and mentoring health care professionals in developing quality improvement initiatives and improving the quality of educational activities. She is currently a core faculty at the Internal Medicine Residency Program, Assistant professor at the Weill Cornell medical College in Qatar (WCMC-Q) and Clinical Assistant professor at College of medicine (CMED) at Qatar University and a faculty of the clinical Care improvement Training Program at HMC (CCITP).

She is a member of many local and international committees and organizations including the internal medicine quality committee, American college of physicians (ACP) and the Association for Medical Education in Europe (AMEE). Her research interests are on medical education areas including Mentorship, Case based learning, blended learning, Bedside teaching. She has developed many curricula in both residents and faculty development in presentation skills, evidence based medicine and in Mentoring.
