Dr. Ahmed Aziz Bahi Abdelbari is a Trauma and Neurocritical Care Pharmacist Specialist and a graduate of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Zagazig University (2006). He has been practicing at Hamad General Hospital since 2008 and has over 17 years of experience as a clinical pharmacist dedicated to the care of critically ill trauma patients.
He earned his Master’s degree in Clinical Pharmacy from Queen’s University Belfast in 2012 and is Board Certified in Pharmacotherapy (BCPS), a Certified Patient Safety Officer (AIHQ), and a Canadian Board–certified Pharmacist (PEBC, 2019).
Dr. Ahmed promotes a culture of interdisciplinary collaboration to improve patient outcomes through the safe and effective use of medications. He has played a key role in the development and implementation of multiple ICU protocols and clinical guidelines, including those related to pain and agitation management, electrolyte disturbances, and glycemic control.
Passionate about education, Dr. Ahmed has been actively involved in the training and education of trauma critical care fellows and ICU nursing staff. He has authored 14 publications in peer-reviewed journals and has delivered numerous presentations at national and international conferences on topics such as coagulopathy in traumatic brain injury, bleeding disorders, the importance of clinical research, and the development of pharmacotherapeutic plans for diverse patient populations.
