Dr. Mohammad Asim is a Postdoctoral Research Scientist in the Trauma Surgery Section at Hamad General Hospital. He obtained his postgraduate degree in Biotechnology and a Ph.D. in Biosciences from India. Following completion of his doctorate, he joined the Department of Medicine at Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi, where he served as a Research Scientist-I. In 2012, he transitioned to the Clinical Research Unit within the Trauma Surgery Section at Hamad General Hospital.

Dr. Asim is actively involved in the design and development of randomized controlled trials and prospective clinical studies, as well as advanced data analysis and interpretation using statistical software. His academic activities include manuscript preparation, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses. His research focuses on biomarker-driven translational studies exploring coagulopathy, organ dysfunction, and inflammatory responses in trauma and traumatic brain injury patients.

Dr. Asim has authored 168 peer-reviewed publications and maintains a strong track record in mentoring junior researchers, fostering multidisciplinary collaborations, and contributing to competitively funded research initiatives. He is deeply committed to advancing translational and precision medicine through biomarker-based research and to promoting academic excellence, research innovation, and institutional growth.
