Dr. Maguy El-Hajj is a Clinical Associate Professor at Qatar University (QU) QU Health Sector College of Pharmacy. She earned a Bachelor of Pharmacy (with high distinction) in 2005 and a Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2006 from the Lebanese American University. She began her academic career at the Lebanese International University, teaching pharmacy practice and clinical pharmacy courses while precepting students in community and hospital settings. In 2007, Dr. El-Hajj joined QU College of Pharmacy as an Assistant Professor, playing a key role in its establishment. She led the integration of patient safety curricula and served as Head/Chair of the Clinical Pharmacy and Practice department (2010–2020). As Associate Dean for Academic Affairs (2020–2024), she led to the renewal of CCAPP accreditation for the BScPharm and PharmD programs, the design and implementation of a new Modular Curriculum, and the alignment of the BScPharm program with QU graduate attributes and educational excellence themes. She also spearheaded curricular revisions, faculty development workshops, and adaptation of pharmacy education during COVID-19 pandemic.
Since 2012, Dr. El-Hajj has been Board-certified by the Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS). She serves as an Associate Editor for Exploratory Research in Clinical and Social Pharmacy Journal. Dr. El Hajj has published over 70 peer-reviewed articles and secured more than 30 research grants from QU and the Qatar National Research Fund. She has presented over 60 posters at regional and international conferences, contributing significantly to pharmacy education and practice. She is also a member of the International Collaboration of Pharmacy Journal Editors (ICPJE) since 2024
