Dr. Fernando Antonio Spencer Netto
Dr. Fernando graduated and completed residency training in General Surgery at Universidade Federal de Pernambuco – UFPE, Recife – Brazil. Following, he completed Master and PhD degrees in Surgery at the same institution, in association with University of Toronto – Canada. Few years later, Dr. Fernando moved to Toronto, Canada for his post-doc studies and Trauma and Acute Care Fellowship. During his career, he has been committed to medical education and research, with more than 80 book chapters and articles published in peer-review journals. His areas of interest are trauma and acute care surgery, abdominal wall reconstruction and medical education. Dr. Fernando joined the HMC Trauma Surgery Team in Dec/2023 as senior consultant.
