Dr. Mohamed Lamine Missaoui is an Associate Consultant in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Qatar Rehabilitation Institute, Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC). He has been working at HMC since August 2017, contributing significantly to both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services.
Dr. Mohamed Lamine obtained his early medical training in Algeria, completing internships at leading university hospitals in Algiers before undertaking his residency at Kasdi Merbah Specialized Hospital between 2009 and 2014.
He subsequently served as a Specialist at Krim Belkacem Public Hospital in Tizi Ouzou before joining HMC in 2017.
Since then, Dr. Mohamed Lamine provides inpatient rehabilitation consultations across multiple units, including the Trauma Intensive Care Unit, Trauma Step-Down Unit, and the Trauma, orthopedic and neurosurgery wards. His clinical interests include neurorehabilitation, musculoskeletal disorders, interventional rehabilitation procedures, and interdisciplinary care for trauma and surgical patients.
Alongside his clinical commitments, Dr. Mohamed is actively engaged in academic and professional development. He regularly delivers lectures, participates in journal clubs and grand rounds, and provides orientation and training for residents, fellows, and new colleagues. His research interests include post-intensive care outcomes, with a published study on functional recovery after severe COVID-19 illness in 2021.
