Dr. Ghaya Ibrahim Khalifa Al-Rumaihi 

Dr. Ghaya Ibrahim Khalifa Al-Rumaihi is a Consultant Neurosurgeon and Neuro-Interventionist at Hamad Medical Corporation, Qatar, and a Clinical Associate Professor of Neurosurgery at Qatar University. She also serves as the Associate Program Director of the Neurosurgery Residency Training Program.

Dr. Al-Rumaihi holds multiple advanced qualifications, including an MBBS, Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS – Edinburgh), Fellowship of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), and several international diplomas and fellowships in complex spine surgery, cerebrovascular and endovascular neurosurgery from Canada and Europe. She also holds a Master’s degree in Healthcare Project Management, in addition to leadership and clinical research diplomas from internationally recognized institutions.

With over 15 years of clinical experience, Dr. Al-Rumaihi has extensive expertise in general and complex spine surgery, cerebrovascular and endovascular neurosurgery, stroke intervention, neuro-oncology, and neuro-trauma. Her clinical practice includes inpatient and outpatient care, emergency and critical care coverage, and advanced minimally invasive neuro-interventional procedures.

Dr. Al-Rumaihi is actively involved in medical education and training, contributing to the teaching and supervision of neurosurgery residents and medical students locally and internationally. She has held several leadership and administrative roles in residency training, accreditation, quality management, and examination committees.

Her research interests focus on vascular neurosurgery, stroke, minimally invasive neurosurgical techniques, spine surgery, and neuro-oncology. She has authored and co-authored numerous peer-reviewed
