Dr. Ammar Al Hassani

Dr. Ammar Al Hassani is a Senior Consultant and Co Director of the Trauma Intensive Care Unit at Hamad General Hospital. He graduated from Baghdad University Medical School in Iraq and completed his Surgical Residency in General Surgery at the Baghdad University Medical City Teaching Centre, where he earned certification in general surgery from both the Iraqi Board and the Arab Board.

Dr. Al Hassani advanced his specialization in trauma and critical care through a Trauma Critical Care Fellowship at Hamad General Hospital and a Trauma and Surgical Critical Care Fellowship at the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center, University of Maryland Medical Center, USA. He also holds the European Diploma in Intensive Care (EDIC) and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in general surgery (FRCSEd).

With extensive clinical expertise in trauma, general surgery, and surgical critical care, Dr. Al Hassani is deeply committed to advancing the field through high impact research. His academic contributions include multiple peer reviewed publications focusing on trauma management, resuscitation, and critical care outcomes.
