Muhammed Rasik Muyyarikandi

Muhammed Rasik is a Trauma Intensive Care Unit Nurse and Link Nurse Educator at Hamad General Hospital, Hamad Medical Corporation, Doha, Qatar. With over 14 years of experience in trauma, neurosurgery, and critical care, he specializes in advancing patient safety and person-centered care. He has completed QMEP (Quality Management Education Program, in HMC). He is a certified TeamSTEPPS Master Trainer and holds additional credentials in ATCN, FCCS, ALS, and Quality Management Education. Muhammed has led initiatives to improve Barcode Medication Administration (BCMA) compliance, introduce adult nutritional screening, and train ICU nurses in ultrasound guided IV cannulation. He has presented at Qatar Health and other international forums, sharing evidence-based practices and innovative approaches. He has presented his BCMA quality improvement project in Panamerican Trauma Congress 2025.  He is currently leading research study on ultrasound guided IV cannulation training for ICU nurses, focusing on patients with difficult venous access (high DIVA score). His work evaluates changes in nurse confidence, cannulation success rates, reduction in the number of IV attempts, and the barriers nurses face when applying ultrasound techniques.
